About the Artist

Jennifer Barrineau received a B.A. in Illustration from Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota Florida where she grew up. She has been living and creating in the beautiful mountains of Asheville, NC for over 15 years. Jennifer lives with her 16 year old son who shares her love for the Asheville food, art and music scenes. When she's not making art you might find her hiking a trail or paddling around a lake somewhere.

Her artistic focus has been on combining her love of capturing the essence of animals in detailed portraits with her fun textured backgrounds and whimsical trees. Jennifer's work is inspired by nature, influenced by color and energized by music.

She has been developing her acrylic on wood techniques for many years. Her original paintings range in size from 6 x 6 inches square up to 5 x 9 foot commissions. For this artist, "Every painting is a challenge, a learning experience and an adventure."
